I had a very special d20 that i only used when i was DMing. It was yellow with green freckles, white numbers. It was the first die i ever bought myself with my own money, when i was fourteen. It was reserved for attack rolls by monsters. It never ever rolled below a fourteen. Sometimes, when the party was about to die in mid-campaign, i would hide its rolls behind my DM screen, so the players would not see me cheating(i.e. letting them live). Maybe i shouldn't have. Maybe i hurt its feelings. I don't know. It does not matter anymore.

It is gone.

I do not know where it went, whether it was stolen(i have my suspicions), dropped under the table or chose to leave of its own accord.

I have not DMed ever since.

its true you can waste 20's but dont throw those dice out. you can "bleed" the ones out over time. or better yet "spike " someone elces dice bag with really moody dice.

i have one, and like its owner its a primadonna. it will only roll high if you make a show/ song and dance about rolling it. and even then if it catches on your trying to maunlplate it it will roll low to spite you. it will also bounce off any table you try to roll it on with out ceremony.

if you have a shiney (fancy) set that dosent roll well. ask an epic level sorrcer or artfacter to bless it in game and then export the dice to your campign.

ps please fogive spelling errors as i am dsylexic and the right mouse buttion has stoped working so i cant spell check. (sry)

My wife and I received as a wedding gift two one-day passes to Star Wars Celebration II.

We went up for the day, and marvelled at the amount of associated swag crammed in the Indianapolis Convention Center. We cavorted like children, exploring, playing, shopping.

What'd she spend the most money on? Out of ALL THAT STUFF, what did she buy the most?

Recharged? I might have to review my diceology. I just thought dice hava a maximum good uses out of them. It my opinion some dice are just too old and their mojo is gone forever!

My dice run either super hot or super cold. Some nights it seems like I get more critical hits and misses than I do regular rolls.

And the Stupid Ranger does too loan her d20’s out on occasion. But they’re always the weird puke-colored ones from the Chessex-tub at Gen Con. (They usually roll better than mine, though, so I can’t really complain.)

I have an issue with people just rolling dice for no reason but I often find myself doing the same. These dice indeed have power over us!

In addition to my addiction to the dice, I too believe that a d20 only has so many 20’s, and no one should ever, ever borrow mine for fear of wasting those 20’s.

And Yan, it’s okay if you don’t have the dice addiction… that just means there’s more for the rest of us!

Well at least I don’t have any addiction to fight off.

That being said I’m well in the lower curves of the probability bell, in regard of my dice result, the part where it looks like a line…

Being a scientific minded guy I won’t admit that you might have stumble onto a greater truth.
